  i've been thinking a lot about this lately and i would unhesitatingly say 'yes!'.

  we've had our ups and downs - almost always my fault .

  From her point of view, I don't know... I can be a handful. Gladly she's a Catholic and won't spend any time here so you can't ask her! Ha!
  
  Seriously, I'd give up all I have for just one day with my lovely. Besides, she makes pretty babies.

  i was driving home today and elo's "mr. blue sky" came on.

  i sang my ass off (closed windows of course).

  Oh, I forgot one, which I sang on the way home tonight, "Dirty Diana" by Michael Jackson... yeah, he's a whacko but he can sing his arse off. I was singing with the windows down. Who cares?
  
  DantheMan, I think that you and I could just trade iPods and be happy. I'm all about Dr. Dio. Holy Diver could be on repeat all day and I wouldn't care.

  Hard liquor makes me not me. I drink it at "beer" pace and that ain't good.

  how did you get to the point where you are at now?

  was it primarily new information that made you rethink religion and god?

  learning about the ice age, the universe, the fossils out there?

  My hope is that my kids are able to believe in a divine plan as whole-heartedly as their mother does. Simply for the fact that it is so much easier than having to explain yourself to every tom, dick and jane that wants to preach to you and ask you, "how can this all be without god?" I don't struggle at all with it myself... it's others that make me koo-koo. I had a shirt once that read, "I'll respect your crutch if you'll stop beating me with it."
  
  Do I have an emptiness? Maybe, but I wouldn't have any empty anything had I not been told that I "would" have one if I don't believe in their idea of a "Greater Power."
  
  Whatever you believe I hope it works for you and that you are as happy as you possibly can be. If you're not happy, I hope you have the courage to change.

  Uh, I think that I may be the brainless, truck-driving hippie to which are refering. I will move my dogs forthwith. :)
  
  I'm extremely emotional; usually every day is a total roller coaster, to which I've become accustomed. Whatever I said today, I'd have to apologize for tomorrow as I wouldn't mean it.
  
  But... in case I did, I would tell my Y-Donor that he's a Total Tool. Oh, wait I already did that. C'est la vie.

  Did anyone see or do a random act of kindness today?

  today while unloading my groceries, i witnessed a random act of kindness... someone in a ford explorer was waiting for a car to leave a parking spot so they could pull in there, they had been waiting for several minutes when finally the car in that spot backed out and left.

  before the person in the ford explorer could pull into the spot, a lady in a ford taurus pulled on into that parking space.

  the person in the ford explorer who had been patiently waiting, just sat there, they didn't honk or flip the person off, then the lady in the ford taurus realized that the other vehicle had been waiting for that spot and backed out to find another spot, letting the guy who had been waiting have his spot.

  Nothing makes you feel better than helping someone that needs it and is obviously doing all that they can in that situation. No I don't want to pay their mortgage and I'm not talking about the guy holding a sign, which reads, "God Bless." I'm talking about the lady in her work clothes/dress that has a flat tire.
  
  I was on my way to an interview once, suit, tie the full regalia. A woman had a flat, I stopped and changed it. No she wasn't the interviewer, hell I didn't even get the job, but my interview was so much easier because I felt just great!
  
  I'll try tomorrow to notice more people to see if I can help. Thanks for the reminder.

  None of you pay my mortgage so I don't care if you laugh that I, at certain times, listen to teeny-bopper music. We're moving so I was painting our new house all day and @ about 10 pm, I was tired and all alone; I was scanning the radio and "Break Away" by fellow Texan, Kelly Clarkson came on. I sang loudly and cried like a 6th-grade girl that had lost her puppy.
  
  Oh, yeah, and I also love "Bullet" by Misfits or any Pantera tune. Are those cool enough, tough-guy bands for you to forget my little aforementioned sissy incident?

  Great question. I've got so much to tell or reasons to give, but instead of boring you I'll say, simply, that it's what I believe. I have faith that there is no reason to have faith.
  
  I prayed a lot too and not one time was a prayer answered to give me any hope that there was a grand diety.
  
  I assume my degree in Biology and hangin' around with Analytical Scientist didn't help either. Oh, and that whole Jehobee Cult thing really threw me for a loop. Once I got to college and realized that Worldy [sic] people were not the demons that I had been taught, it became pretty clear to me.
  
  I love it when a Dub finds out that I don't believe/care anything. They look outside and say, "look at that tree. Do you think it just happened without Jehovah's hand?" Yep. It's like a vacuum tube in their tiny brain pops.
